This Privacy Policy informs you about which personal data is processed when you visit supersubmag.com and its associated subdomains (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”), for what purposes this is done, and what rights you have in this regard.
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. This includes, for example, names, email addresses and IP addresses.
When you visit the Website, technical data that is necessary for the operation of the Website is generally processed automatically. In addition, personal data is only processed if you actively provide it — for example when contacting us by email — or if you have consented to optional processing, such as web analytics, via our cookie banner.
The controller responsible for data processing within the meaning of the GDPR is:
Adrian Kühnel
c/o IP-Management #10481
Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 18
20459 Hamburg
Germany
Email: contact@supersubmag.com
For full provider information, please see the Legal Notice.
The Website is provided through the hosting service provider Webflow (Webflow, Inc., 398 11th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA).
When the Website is accessed, technically necessary access data is collected and processed in so-called server log files. This includes in particular:
– IP address
– date and time of access
– page or file accessed
– amount of data transferred
– browser type and browser version
– operating system used
– referrer URL (previously visited page)
This processing serves to provide the Website, ensure its security and stability, and carry out technical analysis to the extent necessary. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the Website).
Where Webflow transfers personal data to the USA or other third countries, this is done — where applicable — on the basis of an adequacy decision, in particular the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on the basis of appropriate safeguards within the meaning of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information can be found in Webflow’s privacy policy: webflow.com/legal/eu-privacy-policy
If you contact us by email at contact@supersubmag.com, the data you provide — in particular your name, email address and the content of your message — will be processed for the purpose of handling your request.
Email sending and receiving is handled via the provider Strato AG (Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany).
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR where your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures; otherwise, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient correspondence).
The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of processing and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
The Website uses the service Jetboost (Jetboost, LLC, USA) for search and filter functions.
When these functions are used, technical data — such as IP address, user agent information and the respective search query — may be transmitted to Jetboost. The processing serves to provide functioning search and filter features.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in providing convenient search and filter functionality).
Where data is transferred to third countries, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.
Instagram content may be embedded on individual article pages and in certain template areas, for example as a preview of the SUPERSUBMAG Instagram feed. The provider is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland; depending on the processing, Meta Platforms, Inc., USA, may also be involved.
When a page with an Instagram embed is accessed, a connection to Instagram/Meta servers is established. Personal data — in particular your IP address, technical device and browser information and, where applicable, cookies or similar identifiers — may be transmitted to Meta. This transmission may also take place if you are not logged into Instagram.
If you are logged into Instagram, Meta may associate your visit to our Website with your Instagram account. We have no influence over the scope and purpose of further data processing by Meta. Further information can be found in Meta’s Privacy Policy: privacycenter.instagram.com/policy
The embeds are used for the editorial presentation of external content and as a preview of the SUPERSUBMAG Instagram feed. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the appealing presentation of editorial content and our social media presence. Where cookies are set or information is stored on or accessed from your device when the embed loads, this may require consent pursuant to Section 25 (1) TDDDG.
We use the consent management platform Cookiebot to obtain, manage and document your consent. The provider is Usercentrics A/S (formerly Cybot A/S), Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark.
Via the cookie banner, you can decide which optional processing operations, in particular statistics, you wish to allow. Cookiebot stores your selection so that the banner does not appear again on every page view and documents the consent granted or refused.
For this purpose, a technically necessary cookie is set:
– Name: CookieConsent
– Purpose: storage of your consent status
– Duration: up to 12 months
Cookiebot is integrated via Google Tag Manager (see Section 8). Through the so-called Google Consent Mode v2, the banner controls that optional services — in particular Google Analytics (see Section 9) — are only loaded after your consent.
The legal basis for storing consent is Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary storage) as well as Art. 6 (1) lit. c and lit. f GDPR (obligation to document consent and legitimate interest in legally compliant consent management).
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking the privacy trigger icon on the Website and adjusting your selection.
The Website uses Google Tag Manager (GTM). The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; depending on the processing, Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, may also be involved.
Google Tag Manager is a technical tool used to centrally manage the integration and triggering of other services, known as tags, such as the cookie banner and Google Analytics. Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies for analytics or marketing purposes and does not process personal data for such purposes; it is used exclusively for the technical management and control of the integrated services, including the enforcement of the choices you make via the cookie banner (Google Consent Mode v2).
When the container is loaded, it is retrieved from Google servers; for technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted in this process.
The legal basis is Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary for consent management) as well as Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the efficient, consent-compliant management of Website services).
Where data is transferred to the USA, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses and — where applicable — the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
After your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for pseudonymous reach and usage analysis of the Website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; depending on the processing, Google LLC, USA, may also be involved.
Google Analytics processes information about the use of the Website, such as pages accessed, approximate geographic origin, device/browser used and time spent on the Website, in order to measure reach and improve the offering. The following cookies are set for this purpose:
– _ga and _ga_<identifier> (duration up to 2 years)
The measurement ID used for this measurement is G-SZDCNNLV5G.
Consent-based loading: Google Analytics is loaded and executed only after you have actively consented to the “Statistics” category in the cookie banner. Google Consent Mode v2 is configured for GA4 in the “Basic Consent Mode” variant: before your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded, no analytics cookies are set and no data is transmitted to Google, including cookieless signals.
The IP address is processed by Google in shortened form; full IP addresses are not stored.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by reopening the banner via the privacy trigger icon and deactivating the “Statistics” category.
Where data is transferred to the USA, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses and — where applicable — the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information can be found in Google’s Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
To measure the reach of editorial texts, we use the METIS measurement system of Verwertungsgesellschaft Wort (VG Wort). The provider is Verwertungsgesellschaft Wort, Rechtsfähiger Verein kraft Verleihung, Untere Weidenstraße 5, 81543 Munich, Germany.
For this purpose, so-called counting marks are embedded in individual online texts to determine access to these texts. According to VG Wort, a client ID may be generated and a so-called METIS session cookie may be set as part of METIS access measurement in order to avoid multiple counts within a browser session. The measurement serves to collect statistical indicators on the use of the texts and to assert statutory remuneration claims of authors and/or the publisher.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in measuring the reach of editorial texts and asserting statutory remuneration claims. According to VG Wort, no personal data is processed as part of METIS access measurement; IP addresses are processed only in anonymized form. Where information is stored on or accessed from your device as part of METIS access measurement, this is carried out, according to VG Wort’s legal position, on the basis of Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG.
Individual editorial articles may contain affiliate links. These are marked accordingly in the respective article. If you purchase something via such a link, SUPERSUB may receive a commission. This does not result in any additional costs for you.
As long as no affiliate links are actively integrated, no affiliate-related data processing takes place via SUPERSUB.
Once affiliate links are used, personal data may be transmitted to the respective provider or affiliate partner when such a link is clicked, in particular your IP address, technical device and browser information, the time of access, the previously visited page and an affiliate or partner identifier. This data may be used to trace the origin of a purchase and allocate any commission.
The legal basis for integrating appropriately marked affiliate links is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in financing our editorial offering. Where affiliate partners set cookies or store or access information on your device, this is done in accordance with the privacy and cookie notices of the respective third-party provider or — where processing already takes place on our Website — only on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TDDDG.
As soon as specific affiliate partners or affiliate networks are used, they will be named in this Privacy Policy.
The Website uses the following technically necessary local storage values:
– Key: pf_hero
– Value: 1
– Storage: sessionStorage
– Purpose: storage of a purely UX-related state of the home page for the duration of the browser session
– Key: supersub_locale
– Values: de, en or es
– Storage: localStorage
– Purpose: storage of the manually selected language preference so that the automatic language routing respects this choice
This is not tracking, marketing or personal analysis. The storage takes place exclusively locally in the browser.
The legal basis is Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG (technically necessary storage) and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
The fonts used on the Website are delivered locally or via the Website’s hosting infrastructure. External font CDNs such as Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts are not separately integrated at present.
The Website uses the following types of cookies or comparable storage technologies:
– Technically necessary storage required for the operation and functionality of the Website, such as search and filter functions, as well as for storing your cookie consent (CookieConsent, see Section 7). The legal basis is Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary storage).
– Statistics cookies (Google Analytics 4, see Section 9), which are set only after your active consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TDDDG.
Our own cookies for marketing or advertising purposes are not currently used. In the case of embedded third-party content, in particular Instagram embeds, the respective third-party provider may use cookies or similar technologies; please see Section 6. You can adjust or withdraw your consent to optional cookies at any time via the privacy trigger icon.
Personal data is processed on the basis of one of the following legal bases:
– Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR — consent
– Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR — contract or pre-contractual measures
– Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR — legal obligation
– Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR — legitimate interests
– Section 25 TDDDG — storage of or access to information on end devices
The applicable legal basis is stated in the respective sections above.
Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations.
– Server log files are deleted or anonymized in accordance with the settings and retention periods of our hosting provider as soon as they are no longer required for the purposes stated.
– Email correspondence is deleted once the request has been finally processed and no retention obligations prevent deletion.
– The consent cookie CookieConsent (Cookiebot) usually has a duration of up to 12 months.
– Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_<identifier>) have a duration of up to 2 years; the event data stored in Google Analytics is automatically deleted in accordance with the configured retention period, currently 2 months.
– sessionStorage values are automatically removed when the browser session is closed. localStorage values remain stored until they are deleted by the user, by browser settings or by the Website.
