Madrid fashion label Pompeii and LA Galaxy present a joint capsule collection, seven pieces that show football as part of everyday life in Los Angeles.

Madrid fashion label Pompeii and LA Galaxy have unveiled a joint capsule collection. The six-time MLS champions from Los Angeles and the Spanish brand are expanding their partnership. This time, the city itself takes centre stage: the collection shows football as part of everyday life in Los Angeles.

The collection consists of seven pieces in total: a track jacket, a knit polo, a button-up shirt, a long-sleeve tee, a short-sleeve tee, plus shorts and a cap. All pieces suited just as much to everyday wear as to a matchday at the stadium.

Football through the lens of Los Angeles

The club barely appears in the campaign, the city takes its place instead. The campaign imagery gathers moments from Los Angeles: wide skies, the Pacific coastline, palm-lined streets and the city's architecture, with football, people and movement running through it all. Pompeii itself describes the collaboration as a look at the culture and lifestyle of the city, where football grows against the backdrop of one of the world's most recognisable landscapes. Los Angeles is also one of the host cities of this summer's ongoing World Cup.

This is already Pompeii's second project with the club: earlier this year, the label designed the first jersey for the Coachella Valley Invitational, the pre-season tournament run by club owner AEG in California's Coachella Valley. The new capsule collection is the next step in that collaboration, this time in streetwear.

The drop launches on Thursday, July 9, at 9pm CEST. The collection is available online via teamlastore.com and pompeiibrand.com, alongside a selection of Pompeii stores.
