From the street pitch to the campaign imagery of an Italian cult brand: Franck Ribéry presents C.P. Company's Fall/Winter 026 collection.
Franck Ribéry is the face of C.P. Company's new Fall/Winter 026 collection. The Italian brand continues its move towards football culture, and in Ribéry it has found someone who credibly connects both worlds: a football legend whose game always looked like it came from the street.
The connection between C.P. Company and football goes back a long way, even if for most of that time it never ran through the pitch itself. Since the eighties, the jackets of the brand founded by Massimo Osti in 1971 have been a staple of casual culture, the fan scene that turned Italian sportswear into the dress code of British terraces. Anyone wearing C.P. Company quotes that history, knowingly or not.
Ribéry wears the Bi-Face reversible jacket
In the campaign, Ribéry wears the garment-dyed Bi-Face reversible jacket, a two-faced piece: one side is made of nylon felt encapsulated between two polyurethane films, the other of nylon mesh. When the finished garment is dyed, each layer absorbs the colour differently, creating subtle chromatic variations along the seams and construction details. Every piece turns out slightly different as a result.
Garment dyeing, meaning the piece is dyed after production, is more than a manufacturing detail here: the technique made Osti and C.P. Company famous in the first place and shapes the brand to this day.
Ribéry and C.P. Company: where to get the collection
Ribéry ended his career in 2022 and is remembered above all for his twelve years at FC Bayern, with the 2013 treble as the peak. As a campaign face, he brings exactly the aura that fits the brand: football, lived between the street pitch and world class.
The Fall/Winter 026 collection is available at cpcompany.com and in flagship stores.
