FC Bayern unveils its new home kit the 2026/27 season – featuring golden details, a change on the back, and an unusual good luck charm that fans can wear as a chest badge.
FC Bayern has unveiled its new home kit for the 2026/27 season together with adidas. The kit stays true to the club’s traditional colours, combining red and white. The design is complemented by gold details on the collar and sleeve cuffs. It will make its debut on a major stage: the team is set to wear it for the first time on 6 May in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.
The match at the Allianz Arena is also one of major sporting importance for the club. In front of their own fans, the German champions will be playing for a place in the Champions League final. The kit’s debut is therefore closely tied to what is so far the most important match of the season.

In terms of design, the new home kit draws on the club’s tradition. Red defines the look, while white elements provide clear contrasts. The gold accents on the collar and sleeve cuffs add subtle highlights. There is also a change on the back: from the new season, the kit will no longer read “FC Bayern München”, but simply “FC Bayern”. Overall, the design is clean and combines Bayern’s classic appearance with a modern look. At its core, it is a kit that clearly reflects the club’s identity.
One special detail is the cockatoo, which is available in the club store as a chest badge. The figure has its own story within the team: when FC Bayern celebrated last year’s title at the Käfer restaurant, the cockatoo was taken during the celebrations and later became the team’s new lucky charm. On the home kit, the badge is also intended to mark this year’s Bundesliga title.
FC Bayern's Women will also present the new home kit in a special setting. Captain Glódís Viggósdóttir and her team will wear the kit for the first time on 9 May at the FC Bayern Campus in the match against Eintracht Frankfurt. After the final whistle, the team will be presented with the Meisterschale.
