adidas and 1. FC Köln officially begin their new partnership. To mark the start, there's a new home kit for the 2026/27 season – and a campaign that brings Cologne's football madness to the streets.
1. FC Köln and adidas go way back. The sportswear manufacturer was the club's official supplier during the legendary double win in 1977/78, as well as during the DFB Cup triumphs of 1977 and 1983, and again from 2005 to 2008. Now, roughly eighteen months after the partnership was first announced, it officially kicks off.
The new home kit is white with red and black accents. It features the three stripes on the shoulders, a V-neck, premium embroidered club and adidas logos, and an FC print at the back of the neck. Climacool technology wicks away moisture. Both the men's and women's teams will wear the kit across all competitions this Bundesliga season.
Wolfgang Overath, Jonas Hector and a BAP classic
The relaunch is accompanied by a campaign built around a 90-second launch film. What starts as a simple radio announcement about the partnership spirals into its own dynamic, packed with Cologne truths and big emotions as it sweeps through the city.
Featured in the film: club legend Wolfgang Overath, former captain Jonas Hector, current first-team players Timo Hübers, Laura Feiersinger, Vanessa Leimenstoll, Laura Vogt, Marvin Schwäbe and Rav van den Berg, as well as BAP frontman Wolfgang Niedecken. The soundtrack is the BAP classic “Verdamp lang her”.
Marina Moguš, adidas Managing Director for Central Europe, says: “There are very few clubs that shape their city the way 1. FC Köln does. The club is deeply woven into everyday life and brings fans together across generations.” Philipp Liesenfeld, Managing Director of Marketing & Sales at 1. FC Köln, adds: “adidas brings a clear perspective on the connection between football, sport and culture.”
The 2026/27 home kit costs €99.95 for adults (€89.96 for club members) and €74.95 for kids (€67.46 for members). Available now at the adidas online store and the 1. FC Köln online store.
