FC Barcelona unveils new home kit

FC Barcelona unveiled their new home kit for the 2026/27 season at a show at MACBA – the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona. Under the concept “Blaugrana Heartbeat. The Passions That Move Us”, contemporary dance, live music and an audiovisual experience brought to life the different emotions of a matchday – from pre-match nerves to the joy of the final whistle.

Barça have developed a new typeface: “FC Barcelona Modernista”, created exclusively for the club and inspired by Catalan modernism – the movement Gaudí defined with works like the Sagrada Família and Casa Batlló. The font takes on the curved lines, organic shapes and stylised lettering of the Modernismo movement. That same spirit now lives in the names and numbers on the shirt.

The typeface will also be used by the club's other professional teams and youth categories, creating a shared visual identity across the entire club.

FC Barcelona Modernista: Gaudí's legacy on the back

The new font will be worn in the Champions League, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup. In LaLiga, the official league font applies – the governing body mandates a standard typeface for all clubs, with no room for individual fonts.

The blue and garnet stripes remain, this time with a colour gradient that adds depth and movement to the design. The design takes its cues from the exterior of the renovated Camp Nou, to which Barça returned after more than two years at the city's Olympic Stadium.

Within the garnet stripes, there are three different gradients of the colour, with the same applied to the blue panelling. Lines in the background of the back of the shirt add depth and dynamism. From the 2026/27 season, the back of the shirt will also carry the logo of the Barça Foundation, which focuses on mental health among young people, access to education and social inclusion.
