The design of Manchester United's new third kit takes you on a walk through the city, from its red-brick facades to Salford's green doors.
Manchester United and adidas recently unveiled the away kit for the 2026/27 season in royal blue, complete with adidas' classic Trefoil logo. Now, the club and adidas present the new third kit for the new campaign – and rarely has a city been this legible on a shirt: the club's third jersey of the new season translates Manchester into fabric, from its red-brick architecture to the city's green doors.
Manchester United's Third Kit 2026/27: The Design in Detail
The new third kit comes in an ivory tone, with the club crest, adidas logo and sponsor branding centred on the chest, the devil crest appearing in simplified form. A floral pattern with hand-drawn roses wraps across the entire shirt, engineered directly into the fabric and inspired by artwork found across the city's community spaces and cultural institutions.

The maroon detailing on the crest, adidas logo, collar and sleeve trims draws on the red-brick architecture found throughout Manchester's historic buildings, while the green accents on the three stripes reference the city's distinctive green doors. The back neck carries a bespoke “Manchester United Football Club” sign-off.
Salford Lads and Girls Club: Design Inspiration and Campaign Location
Many of these threads lead back to the same place: Salford Lads and Girls Club, a storied youth club a short hop from Old Trafford, whose green doors echo through the kit just as much as the artwork found in Manchester's community spaces, of which the club itself is one. The building became world-famous in 1986 through the cover of The Smiths' album "The Queen Is Dead." It's also where United filmed the launch video, featuring players from the men's and women's sides, club legends Gary Pallister and Peter Schmeichel, plus rapper Aitch and social media star Angry Ginge, both self-proclaimed United fans.
The shirt makes its pitch debut as early as Saturday in United's final pre-season game against AC Milan in Wroclaw, Poland, with its first competitive outing following a week later at the Premier League opener against Hull City.
