Bold pink, off-white details and a pattern inspired by Latin American craftsmanship: Real Madrid's new third shirt brings back a colour the club has worn only twice.
Real Madrid and adidas have unveiled the third shirt for the 2026/27 season, completing the kit line-up after the home shirt and the away shirt. The colour choice is a statement: the shirt comes in bold pink, and it's only the third time in the club's history that Los Blancos have reached for this colour.

The pink isn't entirely new to Madrid's season, though: the home shirt already features pink and dark green, the away shirt took the green from it, and the third shirt now picks up the rosé tone and turns it up. The pink base is accompanied by off-white on the V-neck, cuffs, crest, adidas logo and the three stripes.

Woven into the fabric is a geometric pattern inspired by Latin American aesthetics and craftsmanship. According to adidas, it's the connecting element: the same pattern appears on all of Madrid's shirts this season. The club, in its own words, dedicates the shirt to fans worldwide and their passion that crosses borders, languages and cultures.
On the technical side, adidas uses lightweight fabrics with a 3D structure and Climacool+ technology, designed to wick moisture. The real news, though, remains the colour.
Pink at Real Madrid: only the third time since 1902
A look back shows just how rare pink is in Real Madrid's kit archive. The colour didn't premiere until 2014/15, as a fuchsia away shirt in the era of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, marketed by the club at the time as a first in its then 112-year history. 2020/21 brought the second attempt in a light “Spring Pink”. The Parley shirt of 2018/19, by the way, doesn't count towards this run; its colour was officially listed as “Real Coral”, a shade of red. The new third shirt is therefore only the third pink shirt Los Blancos have ever worn and the first in six seasons.
That the colour divides opinion is part of the story: the 2014/15 shirt split fans into lovers and refusers, but grew into a sought-after collector's item over the years. Chances are the new pink is headed the same way.
Madrid's kit season may not be finished yet, though: according to reports, the club is planning an anniversary shirt plus a lifestyle collection around its 125th birthday on March 6, centred on the historic “MCF” crest from the club's founding years.
