Blue-green instead of black, white and green: Borussia Mönchengladbach and PUMA unveil a third kit that deliberately breaks from tradition.
Borussia Mönchengladbach have unveiled their new third kit for the 2026/27 season together with PUMA, and the club take a deliberate break with tradition: instead of the classic club colours black, white and green, the shirt for the new campaign comes in a bold blue-green. The club themselves describe the move as a conscious departure from their traditional colours.
Borussia Mönchengladbach Third Kit 2026/27: Design in Blue-Green With Gradient
The design otherwise stays modern and minimal. A subtle gradient runs from petrol to light blue across the shirt, adding depth to the design, while bright green accents round out the look. According to Borussia, the shirt was developed for use both on the pitch and in everyday life.

Authentic or Replica: The Two Versions of the New Gladbach Kit
The third kit comes in two versions. The Authentic version features PUMA's ULTRAWEAVE technology, the especially lightweight material is said to work together with the integrated dryCELL and ThermoAdapt technologies to provide optimal heat regulation and maximum freedom of movement. The Replica version offers the same look in a slightly looser fit and likewise uses dryCELL technology.
Sustainability also plays a role in production: the Authentic version is made of at least 50 percent recycled polyester, while the Replica version reaches at least 90 percent recycled material.
The shirt makes its pitch debut as early as Saturday (3:30 pm), when Gladbach wear it for the first time in a friendly against Aston Villa. The third kit is available now, in various versions, via the online shop, at PUMA and in the club's physical FohlenShops.
