Liverpool's Third Kit Is Inspired by European Nights at Anfield

Floodlights, European nights and the atmosphere of Anfield: Liverpool and adidas draw on part of the club's own European heritage for the new third kit.

European nights at Anfield are among the moments that define Liverpool's history in European competition. adidas has now made exactly that atmosphere the starting point for the club's new third kit.

The kit is predominantly black, combining the dark base with maroon details and matte silver accents. The design is inspired by Liverpool's European nights and the atmosphere the fans create under the Anfield floodlights. Liverpool and adidas are releasing the new third kit under the motto “Feel the Anfield Effect.”

A subtle all-over graphic runs across the kit, meant to capture the energy of the crowd. Rather than depicting one specific historical moment or a single European night, the design condenses a recurring feeling: the tension and euphoria of such nights.

How Anfield's European Nights Shape Liverpool's Third Kit

On the black base, the Liver Bird and the adidas logo appear in metallic silver. Player name and number are also rendered in silver. The three adidas stripes run across the shoulders, with black shorts and socks featuring matching silver details completing the look.

The kit is available now via Liverpool's online store as well as online at adidas.

adidas Brings Back Teamgeist for Liverpool

The launch doesn't end with the kit alone. Under the name “Originals Teamgeist 26,” a collection is being released alongside it, drawing on the third kit and translating its design into a lifestyle setting.

The name revives adidas' Teamgeist design language from the 2000s. For Liverpool, it's applied to jackets, tracksuits, T-shirts, outerwear and shoes. The collection combines elements from Liverpool and adidas' shared history with a contemporary streetwear aesthetic.

The new Liverpool drop, then, draws on two parts of the club's football culture: the third kit revisits European nights at Anfield, while the accompanying collection brings Teamgeist back to life.

Liverpool and adidas had previously unveiled the retro-inspired home and away kits.
