FC Augsburg unveil home shirt in marble look

FC Augsburg / Mizuno

Cream, marble veining and the city's ancient name on the neck: the new FCA home shirt turns Augsburg's Roman history into design. Available from 17 July.

FC Augsburg and Mizuno have unveiled the new home shirt for the 2026/27 season. The base is cream, overlaid with an all-over marble pattern in dark red and dark green veining that references the city's Roman roots. Augusta Vindelicum, Augsburg's ancient name, sits on the back of the neck. FCA managing director Michael Ströll frames the design like this: “With its marble look, the shirt references the era of Augusta Vindelicum.”

The shirt stays on theme beyond the pattern too. The collar and cuffs come in dark red, dark green and gold, with gold piping and embossed side panels featuring pine cone elements from the city's Roman iconography, which also appear on the shorts. The club crest and the supplier and partner logos are rendered in dark red, and every jersey carries a pre-flocked club name lettering on the back. Shirts with player or custom flocking get numbers with a matte-gloss effect in a Roman-inspired design. The jersey is made from recycled polyester and breathable jacquard material.

FCA fans already know the Roman theme from several special edition shirts in recent years; what's new is that it now defines the regular home shirt.

FC Augsburg: on sale from 17 July, debut at the Rosenaustadion

The new home shirt is available from 17 July at the FCA online shop, in the fan shops at WWK Arena and on Maximilianstraße, at the new pop-up store in the City-Galerie and at the VR Handels- und Gewerbebank on Annastraße. The new goalkeeper shirts and the prematch collection go on sale at the same time.

To mark the launch, the club is also holding a street soccer tournament on the afternoon of 17 July on the square outside the City-Galerie, in keeping with the shirt's photoshoot, which was staged on a street soccer court. The on-pitch debut follows on 18 July: FCA face a Swabian select side at the Rosenaustadion to open pre-season.
