This Bayer 04 jersey tells Leverkusen's chemistry story

Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Bayer 04 and New Balance present the away kit for the 2026/27 season, inspired by the "City of Colours", with colours from Bayer AG's laboratories and a shoulder area that makes every jersey one of a kind.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen has unveiled its new away jersey for the 2026/27 season. The kit by supplier New Balance is inspired by Leverkusen's reputation as the "City of Colours": a bright shade called "Terrarium" forms the base, with marbled graphics in "Light Surf", "Faded Teal" and "Deep Sea" flowing from the shoulders to the sleeves. Accents in white and "Deep Black Iris" provide contrast, and subtle cross details are woven into the design, a nod to the Bayer cross.

The connection to Bayer AG runs deeper than the look: the jersey's colours originated in the company's laboratories, and the sleeve pattern symbolises chemical reactions. In the jersey film, the players pick up on the motif themselves, researching the winning formula.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen: the shoulder area makes every jersey unique

The standout detail is the individually designed shoulder area: the pattern varies slightly on every piece, making each jersey a genuine one-off.

"The bright blue colour palette and the marbled graphics are inspired by Bayer's history of innovation and the colours and patterns that emerged from that work," says Markus Breglec, Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer at Bayer 04.

"This connection earned Leverkusen the nickname 'City of Colours', and this jersey brings that story to life in a modern, distinctive way like never before."

Bayer 04 Leverkusen: where to get the new away kit

The team will wear the jersey on the road in the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal and the UEFA Europa League. On the chest sit the New Balance logo on the right and the Bayer 04 logo on the left, alongside the lettering of main sponsor BarmeniaGothaer.

The jersey is available now in the online shop at bayer04.de and in the fan shops.
