The adidas ball that will decide the World Cup

adidas unveils the Trionda Final: the official match ball for the semi-finals, the third-place play-off and the final of the 2026 World Cup – with a fully dedicated design for the closing stages for the first time.

Adidas has unveiled the Trionda Final: the official match ball for the semi-finals, the third-place play-off and the final of the 2026 World Cup. The ball builds on the Trionda, the tournament's official match ball presented in October 2025, and gets its own design for the decisive matches.

A gold finish references the World Cup trophy, joined by white and a black base that provides the contrast. Pink and red accents inject energy into the design and create a visual link to the boots worn on the pitch. The result is a bold, clean look for the tournament's last matches.

Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, New York New Jersey: the final host cities on the ball

The surface of the ball celebrates the venues of the decisive matches. The names of the four cities, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami and New York New Jersey, feature prominently in the panel graphics in large typography, while the tournament's remaining host cities are worked into the triangular graphic elements.

For the first time in World Cup history, adidas moves beyond the traditional colour update and gives the closing stages of a World Cup a fully standalone design.

Trionda Final: same technology as the World Cup match ball

Nothing changes on the technical side. The Trionda Final carries over the four-panel construction, panel shape and surface structure of the Trionda, so the ball plays identically from the opening match to the final whistle. The intentionally deep seams and strategically placed surface textures support aerodynamics and ensure stable flight. Inside sits the latest evolution of adidas Connected Ball Technology, delivering precise ball data in real time, enabling faster decisions for match officials and adding deeper insights into the game.

The Trionda Final retails at €160 and will be available from July 7 at 10am at adidas stores, selected retailers and adidas.com.
