New Kits You May Have Missed — And We Love Them

Various clubs

From Ajax's hidden club archive to Hannover's town hall patina: 17 new kits that almost slipped by between the big releases and deserve more attention.

Not every kit release gets the attention it deserves. With so many launches every season, some of the strongest designs almost slip by unnoticed. We picked 17 new kits you may have missed and that deserve all the more attention. They tell stories of club archives, cities, landscapes and music scenes. Stories like these make them some of our favourites of the season.

AS Roma: Away Shirt 2026/27

Warm white, a broad stripe in yellow and red, plus adidas' Trefoil and a historic club crest. Roma places its away shirt under the banner of “Pietas”, the Roman virtue of loyalty and devotion. The result is a shirt that looks like a vintage find from an Italian sports shop. It's available in the official Roma store.

Cádiz CF: Third Shirt 2026/27

“La arena que nos forja”, the sand that shapes us: the shirt's sand tone comes from the city's beaches, while the wave pattern picks up the movement of the two winds that define Cádiz. The kit was presented on a catamaran in the Bay of Cádiz, and it's hard to imagine a more consistent way of rooting a design in its place. The shirt is available in the club's online store.

Cruzeiro: Third Shirt 2026

Off-white, polo collar, royal blue stripes: Cruzeiro's third shirt has more heritage sportswear with tennis vibes about it than classic football shirt. The blue and yellow sleeve bands, meanwhile, pick up the colours of the Seleção, intended as a homage to the Cruzeiro players who represented Brazil. It's sold via the official Cruzeiro store.

Fulham FC: Away Shirt 2026/27

Several eras meet at Fulham. The red and black checkerboard pattern reinterprets the cult away shirt of 1996/97, the FFC crest dates back to the 1970s and the Trefoil brings today's Originals look into the mix. The campaign is called “London's Original” and celebrates the culture of away days. The shirt is available in the Fulham shop.

Como 1907: Away Shirt 2026/27

White base, fine tonal stripes, navy on the collar and cuffs: Como's away shirt was created with input from Rhuigi Villaseñor, the Rhude founder and the club's Chief Brand Officer. Fittingly, it comes across as classic Italian sportswear you could just as easily wear away from the stadium. The shirt is available in the Como store.

Olympique Marseille: Third Shirt 2026/27

For once, Marseille isn't telling stories of the port, the streets or the Vélodrome. The lavender third shirt carries a tonal pattern of olive branches, midnight navy on the buttoned collar and the Provençal flag on the back. A homage to the region around the city, and the campaign was shot, fittingly, in the Provençal countryside. The shirt is available in the OM boutique.

Newcastle United: Away Shirt 2026/27

From a distance a dark navy shirt, up close a piece of city history: Newcastle brings back a retro crest inspired by the 1970s and 80s and lays a subtle graphic of the historic castle across the fabric, with a magpie motif sitting at the back of the neck. The nostalgia stays pleasantly quiet. The campaign “Our City. Our Future.” meanwhile bridges to the next generation of fans. The shirt can be ordered in the Newcastle shop.

Ajax Amsterdam: Away Shirt 2026/27

At first glance a black shirt with orange accents, at second glance a wearable club archive. Hidden in the light grey all-over pattern are nine iconic moments from the club's history, from the European Cup trilogy of 1971 to 1973 via the 1995 Champions League title to the thirtieth league championship in 2011. It's also the first official Ajax match shirt to carry adidas' Trefoil. It's sold in the Ajax fanshop.

Flamengo: Third Shirt 2026

A lighter red than usual, overlaid with club crest graphics rotating in opposite directions: Flamengo's third shirt belongs to the Originals campaign “Segue o Mengo” and treats the match shirt almost like a fashion piece. On the chest sits the traditional crest of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, a nod to the club's rowing roots. The shirt is available in the Loja do Flamengo.

UD Ibiza: Home Shirt 2026/27

The sky blue fades into white at the sides, like the Mediterranean meeting Ibiza's architecture. The striking collar carries a check pattern in green, yellow and brown that returns on the cuffs and references the historic city walls of Dalt Vila. On the chest, in place of a sportswear logo, sits Brain Dead's head profile. The LA collective is the third-division club's official kit supplier from this season and is responsible for matchday kits, training and lifestyle collections as well as creative direction. The online sale of the shirt has been announced; for now, it's sold through the club's fan stores.

West Ham United: Third Shirt 2026/27

“Bleach Blue” is what New Balance calls the light base tone, covered in fluid turquoise graphics. The circular shapes reference the bubbles from the club anthem “I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles”, and the whole thing is a bow to creative East London. One of the few picks on this list that deliberately does without retro aesthetics. The shirt is available in the West Ham store.

RSC Anderlecht: Away Shirt 2026/27

On May 5, 1976, Anderlecht won the European Cup Winners' Cup at the Heysel Stadium, in white and purple. Exactly 50 years later, that combination returns: white base, purple stripes, Trefoil and retro crest. Even main sponsor Sunweb appears in purple for the first time, so nothing disturbs the 70s aesthetic. The shirt is available in the RSCA fanshop.

Partizan Belgrade: Home Shirt 2026/27

Black and white vertical stripes, refined with golden Kappa details, the home shirt itself stays classic. It's the campaign “Hram fudbala”, temple of football, that makes the difference: photographer Diogo Lopes staged stairwells, corridors and the raw concrete of Partizan's brutalist stadium. In doing so, the club effectively declares its own ground a monument. The shirt can be ordered internationally in the Kappa online store.

BSC Young Boys: Away Shirt 2026/27

Broad horizontal stripes in shades of grey and white, bold yellow accents and a striking YB crest: the Young Boys away shirt emerged from the club's ongoing collaboration with design studio Bureau Borsche. For the campaign, club legend Guillaume Hoarau posed at the Capitol Haus in Bern's old town. The shirt can be ordered in the YB online shop.

Olympique Lyon: Third Shirt 2026/27

A black base with circular textures reminiscent of the grooves of a vinyl record, plus psychedelically curved Three Stripes in pink, blue and orange. Lyon's third shirt honours the city's funk and music culture, and even the adidas branding reads more like a distorted soundwave than a logo. It's available in the OL boutique.

Hannover 96: Alternate Shirt 2026/27

The fine teal-green lines on the off-white shirt seem puzzling at first, until you know the dome of the city's New Town Hall: its oxidised copper patina is the inspiration. Added to that are a knitted polo collar, the words “NIEMALS ALLEIN!” (never alone) at the back of the neck and the tape “LOVE HANNOVER HATE RACISM” inside. The shirt is available in the 96 fanshop.

1. FC Union Berlin: Away Shirt 2026/27

Almost black, with red on the stripes, collar and cuffs and white for the crest and numbers: Union's away shirt is the most reduced piece of the new collection. The detail with history sits on the chest: for the first time since 1991, a Union shirt carries adidas' Trefoil again, a throwback the club itself highlighted at the presentation. The shirt is available at the Union Zeughaus.
