The club of shirt aesthetes is back

Venezia FC/NOCTA

Venezia are back in Serie A, and NOCTA is providing the shirt. Behind the partnership with Drake's label lies a story that began with a near-bankruptcy in 2023.

Venezia and NOCTA have unveiled the new home shirt for the 2026/27 season. The design draws on the club flags that fly in the wind on every matchday: bold orange and green stripes run symmetrically across the front and back on a predominantly black base, while the classic polo collar with orange and green rib details makes a return. The shirt marks the club's return to Serie A: after a year in the second tier, Venezia went straight back up as Serie B champions.

Venezia and NOCTA: a partnership that began as a rescue

The shirts are supplied by none other than NOCTA, the Nike label founded by rapper Drake in 2020. Behind that lies a backstory: in 2023, Venezia stood on the brink of bankruptcy. Within a few weeks, the club needed to raise ten million euros, and within a few months, at least thirty million more. Co-owner Brad Katsuyama called a close friend, Drake's chief brand officer Matte Babel. Within two weeks, the deal was done, the money flowed, and bankruptcy was averted.

By the end of that same season, Venezia had also won promotion to Serie A via the playoffs, and since 2024, NOCTA has been the club's official kit supplier. The partnership survived the club's immediate relegation in 2025 too.

Venezia: the club famous for its shirts

Few clubs are known for their shirts quite like Venezia. During the Kappa era from 2021 to 2024, the club's jerseys became collector's items and earned Venezia an international reputation as the world's coolest club. They were co-designed at times by Munich studio Bureau Borsche, whose other clients include Supreme and Balenciaga. NOCTA picked up that legacy in 2024 and now carries it into the new Serie A season.

Alongside the home shirt, a match version with identical technical construction is also available, along with matching shorts and socks. Over the course of the season, Venezia and NOCTA plan further collections, from training and travel wear to streetwear. The home shirt is available now in Venezia's online shop and official stores, with long-sleeve and junior sizes to follow shortly.
