adidas and Arte Antwerp drop new collection

adidas / Arte Antwerp

With their second joint collection, adidas and Arte Antwerp celebrate the culture surrounding football, featuring 90s nostalgia, Belgian lace and an F50 for the street.

The first drop of the joint FW26 collection from adidas and Arte Antwerp is here. It's already the second collaboration between the sportswear giant and the Belgian streetwear label. The brand itself calls it an ode to football culture, the focus is on the people surrounding the game, from the stadium to the street.

The collection is inspired by 90s football nostalgia. The drop lands deliberately in this summer, adidas itself points out that the collection arrives during a time defined by the biggest stage in football.

adidas x Arte Antwerp: Belgian lace meets sportswear classics

At the core of the collection is the reimagined adidas Z.N.E. tracksuit, alongside specially engineered jerseys. The design is shaped by the personal connection of Arte Antwerp founder and creative director Bertony Da Silva to Portugal and Belgium: Portuguese weaving and embroidery meet patterns inspired by Belgian lace craft. This translates into loose-cut, oversized silhouettes.

Football has always shaped how people dress, connect and express themselves, Da Silva says of the idea behind the collection.

Rounding out the drop is the adidas x Arte F50 Motion in crinkle nylon, in black and white. The sneaker takes the design language of the F50, which adidas markets as its fastest football boot, and translates it into a lifestyle model for the street.

Brahim Díaz and Trent Alexander-Arnold front the collection

In front of the camera are adidas athletes Brahim Díaz and Trent Alexander-Arnold, joined by an international creative collective: London-based DJ Conducta, Seoul-based rapper Mason, Belgian artist Bahati, Tokyo producer Jumadiba, Spanish producer SHB and pro skater Jarrad. The cast is meant to show how football culture lives on in music, art and street style.

The collection launches worldwide on August 4, in stores and online. Later in the season come two exclusive F50 Motion models on CONFIRMED, followed by a second drop.
