The 2026/27 Champions League league phase features 36 clubs, each playing eight matches. The knockout rounds follow, with the final set for June 5, 2027 at the Estadio Metropolitano, home of Atlético Madrid.

We looked at the current kits of every participant and picked our ten favourite designs. That includes home, away, third and dedicated European kits, regardless of whether the shirt is actually worn in the 2026/27 Champions League itself.

10. PSV Eindhoven – Third Kit 2026/27

Dark navy forms the base for a bold block pattern: PSV's third kit comes from fan and graphic designer Dirk van Gaal. His entry was shortlisted by an expert jury from hundreds of submissions before winning the fan vote outright. The pattern nods to Eindhoven and to elements of past and present PSV crests, with heritage badges, Brabant blocks and the Philips logo rounding out the tribute to the club and its city.

9. LASK – International Away Kit 2026/27

For their European fixtures, LASK have introduced a dedicated second kit in red and gold. Fine vertical pinstripes run through the red base, while the collar, adidas stripes and sleeve cuffs pick up gold accents. It's an unusual colour combination for the Linz club, a clear break from their traditional black and white.

8. Manchester United – Third Kit 2026/27

Manchester United looked closer to home for inspiration this time. Hand-drawn roses sit on an ivory base, while the deep red nods to Manchester's red-brick architecture. The dark green adidas shoulder stripes reference the city's distinctive green doors, including those of the Salford Lads and Girls Club. Instead of the usual club crest, the Red Devil stands alone at the centre of the chest.

7. FC Barcelona – Third Kit 2026/27

Barça heads back to the mid-1990s. Two shades of green, Frost Green and Cactus Dust, split the shirt, divided by an irregular zigzag line. The club frames the retro design as a tribute to the generation of fans who grew up with Barça during that era, a nod to the past without simply recreating an old kit.

6. Borussia Dortmund – Third Kit 2026/27

Purple and Borussia Dortmund aren't an obvious pairing, and that's exactly the point of the new third kit. The purple base breaks with black and yellow, while neon yellow details at the V-neck and cuffs, along with the light yellow logos, keep the tie to the club's traditional colours. A fine woven pinstripe texture adds extra depth to the unusual colour experiment.

5. Inter – Away Kit 2026/27

Inter and Nike draw on the aesthetic of classic baseball jerseys for the away kit: a white base, blue pinstripes and a contrasting collar. For the first time in the club's history, the Inter crest is reinterpreted as a monogram on an official match shirt, with the letters “I” and “M” breaking free of the traditional circular badge to become the design's centrepiece. Football meets baseball in one of the season's most distinctive shirts.

4. SSC Napoli – Third Kit 2026/27

Marking the club's 100th anniversary and 40 years since their first Scudetto, Napoli's red third kit revives an iconic shirt from one of the most significant chapters in the club's history. In 1986/87, the side led by captain Diego Maradona won the Italian title for the first time. Light blue and white stripes sit on the collar and cuffs against a deep red base, and even the positions of the Napoli and EA7 logos have been swapped as a nod to earlier kits.

3. VfB Stuttgart – Champions League Away Kit 2026/27

During their UEFA Cup tie in Tatabánya in 1988, VfB wore a red shirt with a distinctive fabric pattern, then gave the entire matchday kit to the away end afterwards. Alongside the travelling fans from Cannstatt, several hundred football supporters from East Germany had backed Stuttgart there too. For the 2026/27 Champions League, that pattern returns in a modern interpretation, complete with bespoke retro squad numbers and JAKO's retro logo.

2. FC Bayern – Champions League Kit 2026/27

Bayern Munich designed a dedicated kit for Europe's top competition. A full-coverage graphic on a dark base weaves in four iconic chapters of club history: Franz Beckenbauer at the summit of European football, Arjen Robben's winning goal in the 2013 Wembley final, Oliver Kahn's decisive penalty save in Milan in 2001, and Patrik Andersson's title-clinching free kick from that same year. The club crest, adidas stripes and the FCBM sign-off on the neck stand out in bold red. Club history becomes the pattern itself.

1. Liverpool – Third Kit 2026/27

Our winner was made for European nights. Liverpool and adidas drew explicit inspiration from Anfield's great European nights for the black third kit: maroon meets matte silver, with a subtle allover graphic underneath meant to capture the movement and collective energy of the stands. The Liver Bird, adidas logo, player names and numbers all appear in metallic silver. A kit whose entire design concept could hardly suit the Champions League better.
